how do i uninstall and reinstall firefox without losing my bookmarks

My Firefox is corrupted and keeps restarting my MacBook Pro. I want to uninstall and reinstall without losing my bookmarks. My OS is High Sierra.

Reinstalling MacOS, are you able to reinstall the same OS? It seems the only way to resolve this issue with Safari is to reinstall OS. Only problem I'm having is that my bookmarks will not update. I cannot delete or add. So, I want to make sure that after I do a backup, that I will be reinstalling the SAME OS that I am running, which is ElCapitan. My MacBook Pro is from late 2011 and I do not want to upgrade OS, as it might be too harsh on processor.

File downloads macOS Sierra will not run FireFox or Google Chrome saying downloaded files are damaged. Option to run files from "Anywhere" is not offered in System Preferences. Can we override this without writing code?

You can export Bookmarks to your desktop.

However I would just down load a fresh copy and install, it will replace the old one and keep your data intact.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did a clean reinstall and did not lose my data bud sadly it also did not solve the problem. Firefox still crashes when I open any website. Any other advice?
