iPhone 7 notification and lock screen language

Hi all,

I just purchased a second hand iPhone 7.

Most of the phone is presented in english; keyboard, lists in settings, the internet, keyboard etc.

The system language is set to English (Australia) and my region is set to Australia too.

However, things like my lock screen date, and some notifications (i.e. the one that pops up when you join the apple forum) are in Spanish, and I have no idea how to change this.

Can it be changed by factory resetting or is there a quicker method?

Thanks in advance

Felix

Hi Felix.

Let's try to change language, input whatever language you want as primary one (not english), then check again the example at the very bottom. Does it change to the language you chose?

Should be this case, I would try to change the language back to English (Australia) and check again the date and time example.

If it doesn't work, I have no further suggestions, and would try to contact Apple Support explaining your issue.

I would try these steps:

Check: Settings>General>Language and Zone>scrolling down to the bottom you should see an example of your settings regarding date and time. How is it?

Check also: Settings>General>Keyboard>Keyboards

If everything seems fine, I would try a forced restart of your iP7: Press and hold both the Side (Power) and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. When it appears, release both buttons, wait for the device to restart, then test it.

Let me know how it goes.
