My systems photo library option is greyed out and I can no longer select it. This means that in finder I cannot select my photos

I can no longer select my photos from my finder to include in articles or posts. The Systems Photo Library option is greyed out and cannot be selected.

If you're referring to the System Photos Library button in Photos/General preference pane that means that the library IS the System Photos Library:

You don't select photos in the library from the Finder. You do it from within the app, if it's been updated to work with the new system and Photos. If the app is too old you'll need to export the photo to the Desktop and add from there.


What app are you trying to add photos to? What system and Photos versions are you running?
