I have 8gb ram at the moment, I want to know if I can actually upgrade it and whats the limit? Someone please help, thanks in advance!

No. The RAM on a 2013 or newer MacBook Pro model is soldered and not upgradable.

The RAM (highlighted in green) is soldered to the logic board and can't be replaced.
