received a pop up page from AppleCare on Air laptop saying virus infection 3 worms and click to resolve. Is this a scam or legitimate warning?

This is a scam. Notice at the bottom of the page they send you to that there is no footer for Apple. You can see what the footer should look like on any Apple.com page. DON'T SCAN! That will be what compromises your computer.
Please note: there is no one in the world who would know what is on your computer unless you give them access to it.
