Upgrade to macOS High Sierra fail

I am upgrading to macOS High Sierra and it has failed I think due to FireVault conversion in progress. I have tried reinstalling by entering recovery mode however it would appear I cannot select the hard drive due to FireVault conversion. Any ideas?

Did an update for High Sierra. Now I can’t log on to my computer. Stuck in recovery mode. I am stuck at the screen where it gives four options to re boot your computer: 1. Use the Time Machine2. Reinstall macOS 3. Get online help4. Disk Utility I’ve attempted to use all four to no avail. I never backed up my stuff on time machine. And when I reinstall macOS, I’ll hit the reinstall button and then nothing happens. If you hover over the icon it’ll say “FireVault conversion in progress. Use the “Security and Privacy” preference pane to check conversion status.”Nothing else. Not sure if I’m supposed to wait a long time but nothing is happening. Now under Disk Utility, I also just hit a wall as well. I clicked on Restore and it seemed to restore it but no results. It said everything was fine but I’m still unable to get anywhere. Really at a loss here. Any help would be great.

apple imac A1418 failed upgrade Apple imac A1418 (2017) failed to finish an upgrade from "High Sierra to "Big Sur" It now comes back with: "macOS could not be installed on your computer. The installer recourses were not found. The imac is unusable at this point.

Follow the instructions here to turn off FileVault:
