is MacCleaner.pkg safe?
I got a pop up virus alert while on the web saying I have 2 viruses. It's from MacCleaner.pkg - is this sage? Now it is in my downloads - if I don't need it how do I get rid of it? I'm a new Mac user!

The virus alert thing is almost always a scam to try to get you to buy. Almost anything on a Mac with the word cleaner in it will cause more issues than it resolves.
