Apple Music keeps pausing on Apple Watch.

Only happens on music. Not Radio. Bluetooth device works fine when connected to phone but pauses on watch.

My series 3 watch has quit playing music through my Bluetooth devices. My watch is successfuly connected to a Bluetooth device but won’t play music. Help! It just started this the other day. I have done a software update and rebooted my watch and my phone numerous times. Seems to fix it for a lil bit but goes back to not working. Now rebooting doesn’t even do anything

Music turns on while on call I recently got an Apple Watch 4. While I’m on a phone call in my car (using Bluetooth to the car) the phone will seemingly randomly start playing music. During my phone calls. It looks like the watch is turning it on but hitting pause on the watch seems to work for less than second and it turns back on. Am I giving it some sort of voice or movement command to make it turn on the music? How do I make it stop?

My watch will not play my Apple Music . Keeps saying must to connect Bluetooth headphones in order to play music My Apple Watch will not play my Apple Music as it has done previously. It keeps saying that I can only play if I connect Bluetooth headphones thx

Yes this is still happening. I just bought the watch 2 days ago and it’s updated to most current software. Pauses for no apparent reason while streaming Apple Music. Not a headphone issue at all. It will sometimes throw an error that I’m not connected to WiFi or cellular, which is incorrect. A complete pain during runs and gym workouts. I’m honestly thinking to suck it up, pay the restocking fee, and get rid of it. Got it specifically for workouts and forces you to sign up and pay for Apple Music and it does not work. 😤

Maybe try downloading a few playlists to the watch and play from the watch. Vs trying to stream over cellular.

That’s what I’ve been doing and it’s been working fine.

Might not be exactly what you were shooting for but might help you through the run.

Do something Apple. I have the same problem. Music on Apple Watch, using bluetooth headphones... music stops after less than a second of playing. Happens on Radio too. I know the headphones work fine as I can hear the music from my phone ...

Thanks to the original poster as well as everyone’s input! I experienced the same issue of music randomly pausing as my new Apple Watch 4 was connected to my Powerbeats 3. I took the majority of the advice and did a hard reboot on my watch (press and hold the crown + side button until Apple logo reappears). Been testing for a short while and it seems to work, hopefully remains that way. If not, I’ll be back!

This discribes my problem perfectly. Why is apple not fixing this? Whats the point of my apple watch when i can't listen to music? I bought it only for this reason.

Upding to iOS 11.4 does not help. I have restarted both iPhone and Apple Watch and still the same problem. It does not want to play from watch at all.

Hold down the Digital Crown and side button until the Apple logo appears. I did that yesterday and haven’t had an issue since. Hope that works for you.
