Looking for High Sierra compatible USB wifi adapter

I have a 9,1 macbook pro who's internal wifi card is inoperable and am looking for a usb wifi adapter that is compatible with OS10.13.

I purchased the macbook pro used and it had wifi issues from the start -- took it in to the Apple Store and they replaced the wifi card only to have the issues return several weeks later (issues meaning the card stops working and then eventually isn't seen by the computer ). I never had the opportunity to take it back in and get it fixed within the warranty period so rather than pay for a new wifi card (and possibly have it fail again and then have them tell me it's my logic board, which is either prohibitively expensive or unavailable), it's easier to just get a USB adapter.

The problem is there doesn't really seem to be many that are officially compatible with OS10.13. I'm considering downgrading to 10.12 if I can't find one, but would love to know if anyone here is successfully using one.
