Can FCP X do 3D Camera Tracking with Floating Stills

Hi there

Very much a novice with a few dollars to spend.

In the process of deciding between FCPX and the Adobe counterparts. I've seen an effect on YouTube that you can do on the Adobe system(s) called '3D Camera Tracking with Floating Stills'. Ive attached a link so you can see what I mean. I was wondering if the can be done on FCP.

80% of me is heading towards FCP but just wondering about some effects I could use. I prefer the one off purchase as opposed to the monthly commitment especially with the high Adobe pricing.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks Tom. Thats useful to know. Do you happen to know if I could do this with Motion? Is that why the video refers to Adobe After Effects? Is AE compatible with FCP?

Sorry for the multitude of questions. I'm an enthusiastic beginner and want to get the best program. I've out grown iMovie and want to do more

I’m pretty sure you can do this in Motion. After Effects is Adobe’s motion graphics, industry standard application. It’s not integrated in FCP but into Premiere.
