Do reporting stolen phones get them blacklisted EVERYWHERE?
Hello everyone. I have a question about reporting a phone stolen, and weather or not it gets the phone as blacklisted as possible. recently, (few years i guess) there have been increasing amounts of package thieves (especially in my neighborhood im sorry to say). Thus, ive asked my local post office and ups and delivery people to request signatures for EVERYTHING. that being said, i ordered an iphone and it was left on my front porch.... it was inevitably stolen before i even got home from work, and i hate these guys. This was going to be a birthday present for my wife's birthday...
So unfortunately.. i dont have the imei, since ive never actually received the phone.. if i did i would blacklist it to **** to make sure the thief could never use it.
The thing is, i asked the very nice apple rep that i called to report the stolen package to, but unfortunately, she politely explained that she only submitted the claims and said she had no knowledge what happens after that.
im hoping someone from "the other end" of the claim can respond to this, or someone that has experienced the same thing. I need some closure...
