Odd indeed! I suggest that you remove, and then, add back the Outlook/Hotmail account on your iPhone to see if that removes the "stuck" messages.
If you access your Outlook/Hotmail email account via a web browser, can you delete them there?
that's the oddest part, when on computer, logged into mail account, the messages in drafts folder on iPhone, do not show. there are some draft messages there, just a few, but not any of the ones on phone and vice versa.
Any thought on why messages in drafts folder can't be moved to Trash?
When you added your Outlook/Hotmail email account to the Mail app, any mail folders that are available to that account will show up in the app. The Drafts folder is one of the default Outlook/Hotmail folders and cannot be deleted.
