How do I erase and clear my iPad 2 so I can sell it, but not lose my data on my new iPad Air? I went to my Apple ID account and deleted the iPad 2 there. But am having trouble erasing the data on it. My Apple ID pwd won't work when I try to erase.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 9.3.2
