Mac Calendar Appointments Gone

I've got my iPhone 6s calendar synched to my Mac calendar via iCloud (the calendar is set to refresh every minute). For the past few months many of the new appointments I create on my iPhone don't appear on the Mac calendar even when I refresh it, but the pop-up window reminders still appear.

When I open the calendar on iCloud all of the appointments appear.

Any ideas what's going on with my Mac calendar? I've got the latest OS update.

Mac mini (Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop Calendar syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
