always show clock, down in the corner?

I would like to see a small clock down in a corner at all times so I can see the time at a glance. In dashboard preferences I don't see a way to do this. Is there a way?

I found a shareware clock I can buy, but am hoping the iMac came with this basic tool and I just haven't found it yet. Thanks.
