Parallel file copies via smb fail

Hello, I am running 10.13.4 of High Sierra.

When I attempt to copy files, in parallel, from our SMB fileserver to the Mac, the file transfer fails after 60 seconds (typically) and the following error message is printed to the console:

Process: kernel

Message: smb2_smb_read_write_async: smb_rq_reply failed 22

I had a similar issue when using Sierra, and was able to resolve it by adding the read_async_cnt=1 option to the nsmb.conf file. This option appears to no longer exist under High Sierra.

Here is the output of smbutil statshares -a:

================================================================================ ==================

SHARE ATTRIBUTE TYPE VALUE

================================================================================ ==================

SERVER_NAME 10.72.7.11

USER_ID 502

SMB_VERSION SMB_2.1

SMB_SHARE_TYPE DISK

LARGE_FILE_SUPPORTED TRUE

FILE_IDS_SUPPORTED TRUE

Here is the contents of my current /etc/nsmb.conf file:

[default]

signing_required=no

Any help regarding this issue is appreciated.

Thank you.
