My MacBook can’t sign into i cloud

I have a MacBook Pro & it stopped communicating with I cloud, I logged out & now it won’t log back in again. Any ideas?

Why can't I log into the cloud from my mac? Earlier my iCloud was frozen trying to upload and wouldn't let me access any of my files. I logged out and now I cannot log back in. I am putting in my password, the status wheel spins, but then nothing happens. Literally the page just resets and asks for my password again. No error message, but nothing else is happening either.
