Boot into Recovery (Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities> Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD

When I press Command R nothing happens. Every time I try to restart, the screen stays with the Apple logo in the center, and the line below showing that the software has loaded, but nothing else happens. Any ideas? Thanks
