My iPhone hotspot has stopped showing up in the wifi list of both my iPads. I need to turn the hotspot on and off again for it to show. Tried resetting network settings of all devices.
iphone and 1 ipad are on 11.3. The other iPad is 10.3.

Hotspot disappeared again. Sometimes toggling the hotspot on iPhone and turning wifi on and off would seem to help connect. Other times it seemed impossible to connect. iPad on ios 10 not affected this time.
It seems the the answer could be to log in and out of iCloud on both devices, which i’ve done and it now seems to automaticlly connect immediately.
No doubt though, i’ll be posting back writing to myself again. Thanks Apple.
I should have added that this recent behavior after I cancelled a cellular service on an iPad. iPads see iphone’s Bluetooth ok - being connected via Bluetooth seems to help stay connected. In the 11.3 iPad I have selected “stay connected“ in the iphone’s hotspot information setting.
Weird. The iPhone hotspot has again reappeared in both iPad‘s wifi list.
