How to upload large files to the iCloud.

This has worked for me in the past, but now I tried moving a large number of folders and files to my iCloud drive from my MacBook Air, but they are not uploading to the Cloud. When I log into my iCloud account on both my Air and my desk top, the newly moved folders and files are not appearing elsewhere. Even when I log into my iCloud account on either computer the newly moved files are not appearing. What do I need to do to get them into my Cloud?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Yes, it's definitely right.

How quickly they upload depends on the speed of your connection.

If you've got others that are the same and have been like that for a while though, you may have a problem.

How much space do you have and how much are you trying to upload. Also when you add items to iCloud Drive do you move them or copy them?

You should see a symbol like this during an upload...

User uploaded file

I cannot see any evidence or indication that anything is uploading. And I started the process last night. There are no moving bars or spinning wheels indicating anything happening.

Curious that the files on my Air that are place in my iCloud folder have a little cloud next to them, which suggests to me that the files are in the Cloud. But they aren’t showing up on my other computer or when I log into the Cloud online.

That doesn't seem right because all of my old files that are clearly in my Cloud Drive also show that same little cloud beside of them. And why would it be taking since last night to upload? And why don't I see any moving bars indicating an uploading process?

Could the problem have something to do with possibly uploading more to the Cloud than I have Cloud storage capacity for? But I suspect not since I would image it would tell me that, and ask me to buy more Cloud storage.
