I have a Mac Mini with OS 10.9.5 and a WNDR 3300 router.
It all worked fine for quite a while untilresently and I can connect with
other devices (my MacBook, iPhone iPad) but not the Mini.....

I wouldn't give up entirely, if you don't mind fiddling around a little bit.
For example, if you think something system-wise has become corrupted, you could try booting into Recovery (Command + R after boot chime), and selecting "Reinstall OS X". Typically this option works to safely reinstall the OS whilst preserving you personal accounts/files/data etc.
(Of course, having a good backup before doing anything like this is always more than just a good idea...)

Thank You, I tried that but it did not fix the problem. I think the internet portion of my software is corrupt.
I can create a personal hot spot with my iphone and connect with that but not with my Netgear router
that I have always used..... weird... thanks again
Thank you very much for your idea and instructions. I have resolved the problem another way. My neighbor had an extra router that we tried and my Mac Mini liked it and is working fine. I will stop here and enjoy being back on the air
with the new router!
