Permission and file sharing issues after updating to High Sierra 10.13.4

I am in an office of three people who all purchased Mac Pros last year. We are networked and realized after updating to High Sierra 10.13.4 a week ago that they cannot find my machine to share files. I can see them, but they cannot see me. Also, if I want to change file names or update files in my own public file, I have to enter my password or save to the desktop and copy back into my files. I see that others have this issue but I haven't seen a remedy. I followed the advice from another thread to run an EtreCheck and the report is below. Can you help fix my permission issues?

EtreCheck version: 4.2.1 (4C020)

The client version of macOS is not designed to act as a file server. You can share files, give others access to your files/folders, but that doesn't enable easy multi-user file editing.

When you create a file, the default is to give you read/write access and all others, including groups no access. If someone wants to edit a file you created, they must make a copy because they only have read access.

Your Mac Pro is now running the APFS file system. In order to share files, you must share via SMB. That may be why they don't see it.

In File Sharing, click on Options… and make sure it is set to share via SMB.
