help me pls i can’t figure this out

sooo i found my ipad min in my desk and i forgot the password and can’t get into it. but. my laptop is saying “to allow access please respond to your ipad” but idk what it means. can someone help me fix the issue?

Sounds like it is the Passcode that you need to open your iPad. Here's what you need to do:

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

When you plug an iPad into a computer that ipad will ask you ‘do I trust this computer’, If you answer no then it will not allow a connection, if you say yes then you may need to enter your passcode to confirm that this is your ipad and you want to allow the computer to talk to it.
