Google calendar to Apple watch

I use the google calendar app on my iphone. I’m trying to sync it to the Apple calendar app so stuff will display on my watch. I’ve tried to add my google account in settings, but it doesn’t appear on my list of accounts after. No option to sync any calendars from my google account shows up in the Apple calendar app settings. What am I doing wrong?

I figured out the problem. In order to add the google account, you have to use a gmail. I didnt have one and just had a yahoo address on my google account. Once I set up a gmail and logged in with that, the calendars all synced. Thanks for responding,

Greetings, PuckaJ!
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue with your Google calendar not showing to view your events on your Apple Watch and I am happy to help!
Make sure you're using these steps from Google to set up the account on your iPhone:
See Google Calendar events on Apple Calendar - iPhone & iPad - Calendar Help
Next, I recommend going to the Watch app on the iPhone and check the settings under Watch > Calendar to be sure it is set properly. I recommend having it show to Mirror the iPhone.
Let me know the results and if this is not the path you are heading, feel free to circle back with more information about your specific issue!
