Selecting left or right audio track in bilingual recording

Thanks for clarifying, Rich. I'm not a big fan of the dumbed down iMovie - previous versions were more intuitive. I am a VLC user but wanted to edit and publish on one app so ended up buying Adobe Premiere Elements which seems to have a great range of features aimed at the advanced consumer. There is a sound mixer feature so you can zero out the volume on one of the channels. It's a bit of a manual process but did the trick. I didn't even have to read an instruction manual to start using it. Great experience so far.
