What are the size requirements for submitting original album covers for iTunes?

I am an artist and illustrator creating an original artwork for a singer who wants to sell her music on iTunes. I will scan the finished illustration and add titles in PhotoShop. I need to know the current best dimensions, pixels, and file format. I googled this online but some of the advice was very old. Thanks!
