create bootable usb backup

hello there,

I've been trying to make a bootable backup of high sierra in order to do a clean install on my Macbook. I have read different websites ans all of them tell me to do it with Terminal. I've tried several times to put in the exact right command but it keeps coming back as : command not foundUser uploaded file

Help please....

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Have done this many times using below. Note: make sure the USB is formatted HFS+ with GUID and USB Named Untitled

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

In the end it did not solve anything.

After a 3hr installation it stil had all my old settings, so still no "new" pc, no clean install.

And still no bootable disk.

Any one advise what goes wrong here??

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/HighSierraInstall

You write

Any one advise what goes wrong here??

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/HighSierraInstall

You are missing some instructions in your command syntax. Should be

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction &&say Done

create bootable usb backup
