How to see a SSD samsung

I've a samsung ssd 840 evo, as external drive, with a case (USB 3.0) connected to a IBM PC. PC "reads" SSD but when I try to connect it to the new MacBook Air this one doesn't see SSD.

Could someone help me?

New external hard drive not showing I have just purchased a Sabrent Rocket XTRM Thunderbolt 3 2TB external ssd which I plan to use on my iMac 27” mid 2011 predominately, but also use it with my 2015 MacBook Pro. On my iMac it will take over from the almost worn out hard drive. I have connected a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter to the Sabrent and then a short thunderbolt 2 cable to the thunderbolt port on the iMac. 2012 Mac Mini - external ssd I am trying to use an external ssd in a HAGiBiS model MC25 hub. The hub has a USB C connector so I have tried an adapter to USB A, a UBS C to USB a cable, and a USB C to dual USB A cable - no success. The hub front USB connector ports all are fine so is there something I am missing? I have tried with 2 different ssd units (WD and Samsung) so I am a little confused. I don't see them if I plug this into a PC either so is it a "mounting issue" or "format" thing? Thanks

SanDisk external SSD does not show up on desktop A SanDisk extreme SSD (external) is supposed to work with both Windows and Mac computers.However, connecting it to my MacBook Pro (Nov 2017, usb-c) the navigation bar just shows a "non-local drive". It is not accessible as common drives which are visible on the desk top.Strangely, the SanDisk drive works nicely with a MacBook and an iMac, both equipped with usb-A type connectors.Any suggestion to have the SSD operational using usb-c is highly appreciated

Try this: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Make sure you unplug all peripherals from the computer first. After it has restarted, plug in the drive and see what happens.
