How to unlock FMIP

i sent my iPad in for a trade in with an Apple dealer and they said my FMIP is locked and to unlock it. I did but I’m confused. Please help

Karen .. they are referring to the Activation Lock.

I don’t have that iPad connected to my Apple ID to shut it off so what do i do?

If activation lock is enabled, yes you do.


Activation lock is triggered by Find My iPad being enabled and that is done with an Apple ID. If it isn;t yours, it's someone else's.


I just can’t seem to find a way :((

Carolyn's link shows you how to do this, but it requires the password to the Apple ID that enabled Find My iPad.
