How to enable HEVC 8-bit?

On some of my Macs I can generate 8-bit HEVC with compressor on some not.

So, on both of my MBPs, 15" late 2013 and 13" early 2015 it is not available.

But exactly the 8 bit format is super performant and super quality also on slower computers and for that much more important as 10 bit, which can not be played without drop frames on the MBPs.

I know for sure the 8 bit works better on older hardware, because I can generate them on my iMac and I tested it.

Appreciate any help!

No such problems on my iMac5K Late 2015:

Easy:

1. "Suit perfectly", it should emphasis: I have exactly the versions installed, you're mentioning.

2. 8-bit runs more performant on older and/or slower devices than 10-bit, due to the fact it's smaler data volume and less bits to decode. I tried it, because I can render 8-bit on my iMac5K and then copy them to my MBPs. And - what a wonder - the 8 Bit output runs without any drop frames on my MBPs, the 10 bit do not. 😉
