If I setup a Velop network and install a time Capsule in Bridge Mode, will I stile able to use the printer hooked up to the Time Capsule USB port?

When you ask about connecting the Time Capsule in Bridge Mode to the Linksys mesh system, I assume that you mean to say that the Time Capsule will connect to one of the Linksy access points using a permanent, wired Ethernet connection.

If the printer works now when it is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule, then it will very likely work when the Time Capsule is set up to work with the Linksys mesh network.

If you have not tried to connect the printer to the Time Capsule yet, and you are asking whether or not printing will work correctly when the printer is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule, that is a different question.

It all depends on whether your particular printer is supported with the USB port on the AirPorts, and Apple does not really provide much in the way of documentation about this type of setup. Most users simply have to find out whether it works or not by trying it out.

I assume that you are aware that even if printing works over the USB port at the Time Capsule, that advanced features like copy, scan, fax, etc will very likely not work correctly when the printer is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule.

So, if your "printer" really is an all-in-one type device, you would do much better to connect the printer to the Time Capsule using an Ethernet connection if possible or via wireless to the Linksys network to take advantage of the other features on the printer.

Try it.

Alternatively, see if shutting off the wireless works in your configuration; bridged mode (what Apple calls the "access point" setting) still has the Wi-Fi active, which means you're headed for mixing two different Wi-Fi networks and that might not work all that well. Wi-Fi clients can only connect to one wireless network at a time, and I'd not expect a Time Capsule to play all that well with a mesh network, though check the docs for details on that.

If operating the Time Capsule with its wireless disabled doesn't work for you and if that mess doesn't expect to have other access points around, then various vendors do make dedicated network interfaces for printers akin to how you're using the Time Capsule here. HP has sold external JetDirect devices for this purpose, for instance.

Downside of that add-on network interface can be the price of a replacement network-connected printer might not be all that much more, and for a far more integrated and maintainable solution. And with a newer printer. I'm commonly dealing with network-connected Brother MFC multi-function lasers, for instance.

If you're using the Time Capsule for backups too, that might add a few more wrinkles to the configuration you're headed toward.

I forgot to mention in my original reply, that when the Time Capsule is set up in Bridge Mode, I am also assuming that you are planning to use the Linksys Wi-Fi network and disable the Wi-Fi signal on the Time Capsule. If that is not the case, then there are other potential issues to consider.

Your post also did not mention whether or not you plan to use the Time Capsule for Time Machine backups or not, so MrHoffman brings up a good point about what might be another potential issue to consider. That is that Apple expects you to use the Time Capsule Wi-Fi for Time Machine backups, so they do not officially support Time Machine backups to a Time Capsule over a third party Wi-Fi network....like the Linksys mesh system.

That does not mean that Time Machine backups will not work over the Linksys system.....there is a reasonably good chance that they will. This is again a case of trying things to see how well.....or if.....they work for you.

If things work OK, then that is great, but if they don't, there will be no help or support from Apple since they do not officially support the type of setup that you might be considering.
