Trackpad and mouse not clicking

the trackpad on my MacBook Pro stops clicking after sometime (generally between 30 min to 1h), and even the mouse wouldn't click. the cursor moves, I can right clock, but can not click, which is very annoying.

I doubt it's a physical problem as it works fine when I restart the computer. but the interruption is annoying.

the OS is up to date, and this has been happening for about a week now.

Is anyone experiencing this? can anyone help, please?

Thanks in advance!

to that Apple article, I would add one more possible issue:

Check for swollen battery:

Examine the seam between the bottom case and the keyboard-level "top-case", especially at the front (close to you) part of the MacBook Pro. Anything that seems like that seam may be opening up under from pressure within needs prompt attention at a service facility.

Your battery could be expanding and placing pressure on the underside of the keyboard and trackpad.
