Since there are hundreds if not thousands of people with this issue will someone at Apple actually do something to fix it. You can clear cache, empty folders, delete history, quit safari and it still comes back over and over again. Best fix use a different browser. High Sierra stinks.
I have the same issue, no resolution. However, I have noticed it is only on ONE website that I get this memo. The same website nearly 100% of the time will give this to me. IT does have a lot of ads on it, but other ad-heavy sites don't give me this issue. It makes my MacBook run HOT, too, when I see it. I'm thinking it's something specific to this one webpage, but can't yet find out what.
Are Apple engineers planning to do anything to fix it???
I am using 16GB Mac Mini to watch movies and I really do not care if Netflix is using significant or not significant amount of memory. What I do care about is to watch the movie WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS!!!
Dear Apple, you can still do better, I believe...
If not - I am switching to PC soon.
This warning drives me crazy. Every time I watch streaming video on sites like Netflix or NFL.com I get this. Would really love to see Apple not make life difficult and give us an immediate option to not see warnings like this in the future. My only workaround is to use another browser like Google Chrome.
You aren't the only one seeing this and I'm not sure anyone has found an answer.

I have it almost every time I use certain sites or links from my hotmail. It never happened before, only after I had my flash drive replaced. Apple care has not resolved it. Very frustrating--if I close the site what good is my laptop?
Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.
It burned out the battery on my 2010 17" Mac Book Pro, and melted the pins on the battery charger. I believe it only has 4G of RAM.
It is also affecting my Mac Mini (Mid 2011) 2.3 GHz i5 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3. OS version 10.13.6 . I keep getting booted from Games and videos!!
This was after the last 2 updates. Mac has some funky new software dealer who installs the RAM monitor. The name of the developer was on here b4. Both my laptop and Mac Mini ran perfectly before the last few updates.
They had better monitor these discussions or they can soon be out of business due to enormous pride they have...
