Chrome Session is Lost When Mac Restarts

Every time my Mac restarts (for example after a system update) all of the windows and tabs that I had open in Chrome disappear. Is there any way to restore my work when this happens?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

Chrome tabs won't restore with options changed in the settings If i was to close down Google Chrome it would shut down all tabs and when it's reopened it goes to new tab. In settings, i have "continue where i left of" selected but this doesn't seem to help. Also, say i was to minimize Google Chrome and hit the icon in the dock to open it again it would actually open a new window with new tabs, is there any way i could get the tabs back if i did this accidentally? Safari closes tabs when I restart mac Hi, So I notice that whenever I shut down my MacBook pro now and then, safari closes all the tabs and I lose them, having to type in all the url's after I start it up later. I dont shut it down often but its annoying when I do. Any idea how to fix this?

Browsers Not Opening Previous Tabs On Start So ALL of my browsers (Safari, FireFox, and Chrome) are not saving tabs on close, despite having the option of restoring previous tabs on startup. How do I solve this issue?? I am new to Mac so any help will be appreciated. I am on a MacBook Pro M1, Big Sur OS 11.4
