I have changed my talktalk Mail password. My mail in iPad recognise it but stopped responding emails

has anyone else had this issue

I changed my talktalk Mail password in the mail section. But My iPad won't accept that change until I went into it again into

settings/mail/accounts/press the Talktalk Mail address/ account then where I had changed password in incoming mail server/there is a SMTP section

But within the SMTP mail server I had to go into the SMTP.Tiscali.co.uk / then I had to also change the password in there it still had the old password saved
