Hi dominic23,

Unfortunately none of these troubleshooting steps worked. I think it might be a software problem or some kind of conflict with High Sierra. This problem started when I installed the first High Sierra update.The computer froze during the installation of the first update of High Sierra and continued from there. Everything was ok before that. And I'm not sure why iTunes shows an error message when trying to update the software now. It also worked fine before installing the first update to High Sierra.

Any suggestions?
