Mac OS 10.13.4 wake up screen glitch

I've been noticing this issue lately and Ive called apple support about it and we have tried clearing the nv ram and the cmos and it still will not go away. I was worried that it could have been a hardware issue but after doing some researching I think this may be a software issue with metal 2. every time I wake my MacBook Pro from sleep I get a brief 1 second flash this is what it looks like

I found a reddit post with a lot of people having the same issue and I hope that apple sees this and fixes it.

is anyone else having this issue on the latest version of high Sierra ? are there any fixes ?

So, is that a screenshot taken at the graphic card, or a pic of the screen?

It is a screenshot taken using Command + Shift + 4.

I have the brand new 2018 MacBook Pro with Mojave and just experienced this issue when I opened my laptop. I had a mini heart attack and then the screen disappeared and showed my login page.

This is another funny look I get when I open my screen and it awakes from sleep.

I just purchased a 13'' MBP certified refurb from Best Buy YESTERDAY! I woke up to the screen glitch! I'm running 10.13.6

I put it to sleep again and after resuming it worked just fine. I didn't even have to restart the system. Still, it looks sloppy and not up to apple's standards. That is what ****** me off.
