music stops playing after one song

I'm trying to listen to my playlist on itunes from my apple watch and after 1 maybe 2 stops it stops playing and even if I hit the play button again it won't play even if I try skipping to the next song. Does anyone have any tips/tricks/solutions to fix this.

Greetings drbeans17,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand the playlist on your Apple Watch will stop playing songs after a song or two have played, and you're not able to tap the play or skip button to continue listening to your music.

If restarting the Apple Watch doesn't help resolve the behavior, a great troubleshooting step would be to unpair the Apple Watch from the iPhone and then pair them together again. See those steps from the following guides: Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone & Set up your Apple Watch

Let me know how the provided steps work for you.

Kind regards.

This only worked for a day for me. Then it went back to the same issue.

only thing that seems to make it work (ie playing music on bluetooth headphones from watch) is to turn my phone (not watch) on airplane mode. Does it have something to do with the way apple music doesnt like you playing on more than one device (the phone and the watch)? Only thing I can think of...
