How do I allow notifications from one app whilst my phone is in Do Not Disturb mode?

That stinks. I want to use the Do No Disturb feature because I’m sick and tired of spam calls. But I want text notifications on my phone and Apple Watch at the same time. Spam calls are a real problem and neither Apple nor Verizon have come up with a good way to handle it. It’s ridiculous.

You can do exceptions with texting from select contacts while Do Not Disturb is on, but that is the only app you can get an exception for. To enable selected text messages to come through, you need to select the individual contact, then for text exceptions, tap on Edit, then the text tone. At the top of the page, turn on Emergency Bypass. Do this for any other contacts you want to be able to receive text message notifications from when your phone is in Do Not Disturb.

You can't. Do Not Disturb does not allow for exceptions.

Try an app such as NoMoRoBo. It has a small (1.99?) monthly subscription fee but it does a pretty good job blocking spam calls.
