No slow mo or video option?

I was using the slow mo option and half hour later I went back to use it again but it was gone, along with the video option. I’ve tried forcing the camera app to close and I tried rebooting my phone but nothing is working. What can I do to fix this?

Hello emilyXcharlie,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that the slow motion and video options for your Camera app on your iPhone are not showing up. Since you have already tried quitting the Camera app and restarting the iPhone and that didn't work. I would like you to again quit the Camera app and then force restarting the iPhone.

Here are the steps for force restarting your iPhone, use the steps for your model.

A force restart won't erase the content on your device. You can force restart your device even if the screen is black or the buttons aren't responding. Follow these steps:

  • On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t turn on or is frozen

If you still don't have those options, your next step would be a restore of the iPhone. Make sure you follow the steps in the "Get your device ready" section, especially about making a backup.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Best regards.
