Does Apple send security alerts?
I received a security alert on my new MacBookPro that said there was **** malware found on my computer and I should call an 877 phone number. Does Apple do this?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

For general info: there is no one in the world (including Apple) who would be able to know if you have malware, adware, virus, or anything else on your computer unless you've given them direct access. So, anything like that is a scam trying to separate you from your money.
