iPhone won't send messages to non iPhones

When I attempt to send text messages to friends with non iPhones, I keep receiving a "message was not delivered" message, and I restarted my phone a couple times, and attempted to send while on Wi-Fi, also just on cellular service, still having trouble. Any solutions?

Thanks!

iPhone X, iOS 11.3.1
