How to solve the problem:

  1. Get a copy of the MPEG2.component - I already had it in /System/Library/QuickTime - So I just copied it
  2. In finder use the Go to Folder option from the Go Menu and enter ~/Library/
  3. In this folder make a new folder, Name it QuickTime
  4. Put the Mpeg2.component inside the folder.
