Apple ID sign in requested from another country

Twice in the past few weeks I have received a pop up on my phone that says “Apple ID sign in requested. Your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a device near...” the first one was in Beijing and this one is hunan. Of course I select do not allow and then change my password. I have noticed that the times I have received this message I have been at work and on their WiFi. Just wondering if anyone knows if this could be an issue with the two factor authentication or am I getting my account hacked 😞
