Then no. You need an Apple device or an Apple computer to manage Family Sharing, and manage the Ask to buy Notifications.

You chose to start Family Sharing, nobody forced you to use it, but you do need an Apple device to continue to Manage it. Just like you would need an Android Device to manage Google's Family option, and like you would need a Samsung device to manage their version.

Each manufacturer may restrict certain things to their own devices or platforms. This is not uncommon. And If you chose to go without Apple devices, then some things simply can no longer be done.

You'll still need an Apple device to cancel Family Sharing and remove them from the Family group if that is what you want to do.

While family sharing can be used on a PC once set up, an Apple device or computer is required to set it up.

Not sure how you would be taking them out of Family Sharing if its not already set up.

If its already set up, it can continue to be used as it has been used. Purchases made through iTunes on a PC can still be shared. You won't be able to manage the Family Sharing group from iTunes on a PC however.

Do note, that if your grandchildren are already part of a Family Sharing group with their parents, they would not be able to join your unless they are removed from their original group first. If under 13 years old, they would have to be transferred to your Family Group from their original one.

Sorry neither of the parents have an apple account which is why they are on my family sharing however i no longer have an apple device only computer so i am not receiving permission requests so i guess i either have to lie about their ages and trust them or work out a way to get notification they are only 9 and 11

I am not happy to have a company dictate to me what devices i have to buy so sorry not a lot of help but thanks

No. The Reset will not cause any loss of data. It's just like rebooting a computer.

If the reset does not help, then the next step is a restore to factory.

You can make a backup before restoring and use that to put all the data back onto the iPad.

1. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

then

2. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
