Stop Airpods from switching to car radio

When listening to music on my Airpods, my iPhone automatically switches to my car radio when I get into my Ford Edge. How can I stop this from happening?

Part II - if I can't stop it from happening, what is the quickest way to switch back to the Airpods? I have tried asking Siri to do this but that didn't work. I know about opening the Control Center on my iPhone, but that is cumbersome when getting in and out of the car frequently.

Apple AirPods Randomly Disconnecting I wear my AirPods while in the car to take calls, and when not in use, I play music through my car's bluetooth. When I am listening to my iPhone music through bluetooth in the car stereo, my AirPods will frequetly make the disconnect/reconnect sound, and it will auto-switch the music from my car stereo back to my AirPods. Since I am driving, I don't want to have to switch the output back to my car every few minutes. I have tried forgetting and reconnecting the AirPods, and I have even gotten them swapped at the Apple store, but nothing has fixed this. This issue seems to happen with any bluetooth device I am using whiule my AirPods are in, as they don't seem to like being in my ear but not being used. Any recommendations? Thanks in advanced!
