I want to buy a second hand iphone. but i reaaly want to make sure it wasnt stolen. How can i check it?

No it won't. It just tells you what the warranty coverage is. Apple doesn't track stolen or blacklisted phones (which are not necessarily the same thing).

There is no such thing as a "global blacklist". Some cellular providers share information as to blacklisted phones on their network, but there is no central database of such info.

Yes, I understand perfectly. You claim your information is right 50% of the time, which means it is wrong 50% of the time. Those do not seem like very good odds.
