Backup/Restore

My iPhone's screen is red/pink and i am trying to back it up to my MacBook. When i plug it into my computer it says iTunes could not connect to my phone because the value is missing. I cannot access anything in my phone, how do i fix this issue?

iPhone 5s, iOS 11.3
