So, your 1st gen iPad Air maybe, at least, two years old, now, OR any where between 2 to nearly 5 years old.
If you also own a Mac computer, the OSX app Coconut Battery will show when your iDevice was made to the nearest week.
If you connect your iPad to a Mac computer with its regular Lightning to USB charging cable and then launch Coconut Battery, clicking the right-hand tab at teh top will show the details of your iPad.
