Can I delete HUGE Mail log file? 342 GB

342 GB of my MacBook Pro 500 GB disk drive is taken by one file titled 'imap.gmail.com-56FE56F8-0CC4-4BC0-898C-0162BF3F65E0.txt'. It is in the Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Logs/Mail folder. Can I delete this? Is there something I need to change in my imap settings to prevent this? Thank you!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

I wasn't sure how to look at the file & wasn't sure what would happen if I tried to open such a large file. Here is a screen shot. My computer keeps hitting disk space limits, likely due to this file and.or due to my gmail imap set up. I just do not want to delete something that would mess with my gmail. What do you think?
